Big Brother Final Approaches The fourth series of Big Brother nears its end - but after 64 days in the famous house, who will emerge victorious on the all-important final night? Davina McCall will host the nights final as runners up leave the house and the eventual winner greets the outside world and claims their £70,000 prize. It's certainly been a summer of surprises: from the shock nominations on the very first night to the double eviction twist, which saw Jon and Federico evicted within hours of each other. Then, just as the dust settled, Big Brother arranged a secret housemate swap with another Big Brother house...in Africa. Cameron accepted a whirlwind trip to South Africa for four days of dancing, flirting and arguing with ten new housemate, while Ugandan contestant Gaetano's visit to the UK house brought tears, beers... and even more flirting! Saturday nights unleashed further surprises on the housemates, as Big Brother unveiled the Reward Room. The specially designed area became a weekly treat for the house to enjoy, with various incarnations including a 1950s diner, games room, VIP club and airport departure lounge. The past weeks in the Big Brother house have also witnessed some monumental task failures, as the housemates gambled away Big Brother's shopping budget. From Federico's early pedalo prank to the hand-bell clanger and Cub Scout error, not to mention Ray's spectacular roulette gamble, which left the housemates with just £2 to spend on food, the housemates have experienced the ups and downs of Big Brother life, be it chick peas and porridge for lunch or beer on tap. As always, housemates came and went, but week six introduced a brand new resident in the form of Lisa. As the 13th housemate, she entered the compound and soon faced the tough task of bonding with a ready-formed family. Always unpredictable, this series was the first time in Big Brother's four-year history that housemates had to leave the house mid-run after a security alert, leading in turn to the first-ever Saturday night and crowd-free eviction. From 10.30pm on Friday 18 July, the phone lines will be open for the public to vote to WIN. But who will stay the distance? All will be revealed on Friday 25 July. Date logged: 14/07/2003 10:54:04 |
